Well I wish I could tell you that Nohn Khiew was beautiful. Well the little bit of it that I saw over our 2.5 days was quite lovely...but that was pretty much the walk from the bus station to our guesthouse. We got a nice little bungalow overlooking the river and the town on the otherside of the bridge, but beyond that I saw nothing. It came on suddenly...started out as chills and then quickly moved to severe aching joints and a very high fever. I slept for pretty much 2 days straight while Deb and Jennifer explored the countryside and even travelled up river for an overnight stay.
Yesterday we spent 3 hours in the back of a truck travelling to some town (I was in such a blur that I can't even remember the name), then we climbed on a bus and travelled another 3.5 hours to Luang Namtha, which again looks beautiful, but I have not seen much of it. The fever and the aches have passed but now it has been followed up with a dizziness and a nauseous feeling everytime I eat. Hmmmm....not much fun and to be honest now it is just pissing me off. Because while Deb and Jenn are out exploring I am left to sit in the room feeling like crap. It took all my energy to stumble over to internet but I was sick of staring at the walls in the room. But even as I sit here, my head spins a little....sigh.
I hope it passes soon.
